Getting married is actually a really great experience. Although there is a lot to get done (from actually proposing so you can get married to planning out the details of the wedding) and it can definitely get stressful at times, once you get to say “I Do” to your significant other, all of the effort and time that you put into preparing for your wedding seems well worth it.

After we had a great wedding with all of our friends and family present, we headed off to France for our honeymoon. Although I had previously been to France (but only on a short business trip), my wife had never been there before, and it was a place that she had always wanted to visit. While a normal trip to France lasts anywhere from a couple of days to a week and a half, because this was our honeymoon, we got to spend an entire three weeks in France! The great thing about spending this much time in a foreign country is that you stop feeling like a tourist after awhile. It was hard going home after our three week trip, but I know we’ll return to France again down the road.
